Tours for Overseas Students!

Maybe you are a class of students visiting London to study English Language for a short period of time or perhaps you are studying in London for a longer period, you may need a break from the classroom! These popular group walks are both educational and enjoyable.

Your guide will bring London’s past, present and future to life with entertaining stories about the many weird and wonderful character’s who have populated this city for 2000 years. Tales of king’s and queens, power and revolution, murders and executions will be revealed to you as we make our way through London. The capital is a world famous source of entertainment & culture plus, with the exciting prospect of the 2012 Olympics only a few years away, there is plenty to discover about modern day London too.

Tours include:

Westminster Tour - the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, Downing Street, Whitehall & Trafalgar Square. (Half Day)

City of London Tour  - The Temple, The Old Bailey & Royal Courts of Justice, Smithfield, St Paul's Cathedral, Fleet Street, The Museum of London. (Half Day)

The West End Tour - including Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Chinatown, Carnaby Street, Theatreland! (Half Day)

The River Thames Tour - Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre, The Millennium Bridge, The Clink Prison, Southwark Cathedral, The Golden Hind, Borough Market, Tower Bridge. (Half Day)

Hyde Park Tour - Speakers Corner, Kensington Garden, The Serpentine, The Peter Pan Statue, The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, The Albert Memorial & The Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace. (Half Day)

Greenwich & Canary Wharf Tour - The Royal Naval College, The National Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory (the meridian line & Greenwich Mean Time), the Thames Tunnel, + futuristic Canary Wharf! (Full Day)

These walks are interactive and inclusive. Stories are told very clearly in English so that students will understand and enjoy them. There are many picture references too plus lively and fun demonstrations where students will be able to take part and bring characters such as Henry VIII, Queen Anne, Lord Nelson and Oliver Cromwell to life!!

There are excellent photo opportunities and a time for questions during you tour so that you can practice and improve your English. Students from Italy, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic and Argentina have all enjoyed these tours!
