Fun & Friendly Treasure Hunts & Walking Tours!

Themed Walking Tours!

Below you will find a selection of themed walking tours for groups. These tours are enjoyed by a large variety of groups from many different backgrounds and countries: family and friends celebrating a birthday;  work colleagues looking for something unusual to do together;  a social club on a day out;  or a group of visitors from overseas wanting to discover the many facets that London has to offer.   I have even organised a tour for a group of people who had never met before and needed an activity to break the ice!

These walks are entertaining and can be adapted to suit your needs and interests. If you are new to the city, London may appear overwhelming and intimidating to negotiate.  Contact me and I will organise a themed tour for your group thereby taking your worries away.  If you have an idea for a tour but don’t know how to link all your areas of interest, I may be able to prepare that too (if given notice!)

Tours available include:

Introduction Tours. Perhaps you haven't been to London before or don't have much time here, well, this two part tour offers visitors a guided introduction to some of London's most popular attractions. The first part will take you to the city of Westminster where you will see all the important sites including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and much, much more as we spend half a day in this part of London. The second part of the tour is the old city of London where you will see St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, The Monument, the Roman Wall and a lot more besides!

These tours are half day sightseeing trips and you can choose to take one or both of them.  If you wish to take both tours they can be taken on the same day (if you have the stamina!) or on different days. These tours are introductions to London, giving you the information which will enable you to decide what you wish to go back and see in more detail when you have more time!

Jack the Ripper Tour. This evening tour takes you back to 1888 and the terrifying reign of Jack The Ripper. See some of the murder sites and the pub where his victims drank! Listen to the horrific details of each murder, the numerous conspiracy plots and the many suspects named.  Walk down alleyways that Jack and his victims used. Prepare to be spooked!

South Bank Tour.Take a leisurely stroll along the river Thames from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge and listen to fascinating stories along the way. This is one of my favourite walks and there is so much to see and can take a morning/afternoon or all day depending on how much time you want to spend and whether you want to visit some of the many attractions along the way including The Tate Modern, Shakepeare's Globe Theatre, The London Eye, Southwark Cathedral and many more....

Hidden Holborn.  Discover what this exciting and historic area offers visitors. Included in this tour are 2 little known yet fascinating museums, several historic churches, one of London's oldest and largest squares, the famous inns of court and much, much more.

Ghosts and Executions. London is a very haunted city. On this evening tour you will hear tales of horrific murders and bloody executions, see the site of the notorious Newgate Prison, wander through the city’s many medieval alleyways and stand in arguably the bloodiest square in the world.

The Royal Tour. London is the official home of Her Majesty The Queen. Previous monarchs have lived in a wide variety of palaces, some still standing, others now forgotten. This tour will take you to many royal landmarks and along the way you will hear stories of the great and the good & hopefully have a photo taken with one of the Queen’s soldiers!

London Markets. The capital has assortment of unique markets selling a wide variety of goods. Many of them are housed in wonderful, imposing structures. Camden, Covent Garden, Spitalfields, Borough, Leadenhall and Portabello are world famous and this tour will take you to at least 3 of them and allow time for shopping.

London’s Royal Parks - The Lungs of London! The metropolis is very fortunate to have so many public green spaces which allow the city to breathe. This walk will take you through St James’s Park, Green Park and Hyde Park where you will hear about their origins, their interesting (& sometimes bloody!) history and how they have managed to adapt and perform a function for 21st Century London.
